Ray is coming off a sub-par outing against the Houston Astros. He lasted five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, walked three and struck out five. His record sits at 3-6 on the year, but his record doesn’t reflect exactly how he has pitched, as he is sporting a 3.01 ERA.

Sampson is coming off his first major league start against the Pirates and he pitched well. Sampson pitched five innings, giving up three runs on three hits while striking out six. But, he suffered the loss as he received no run support and the Reds lost by a score of 3-0.
