If you have ever played fantasy football before you will understand the difference from one tier of players to another. It’s the dramatic drop off from one level of performers at an individual position to another that warrants you to select a player one or more rounds before the next player at that position potentially, depending on the position.

When I look at the quarterback position I notice two things…

1. It is by far the deepest position on the board this year. There are about 14 guys that I would be okay with starting for me on my fantasy team depending on how things shake out with running back and wide receiver options in the first five rounds.

2. The drop off from Tier 1 to Tier 2 is more significant than the drop off from any other tier to the one below them based off of safety of the pick. Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck are the cream of the crop and if they are available in the second or third round in your league pick them. Trust me. They are your safest bets in fantasy football this year.

Let’s take a closer look at the six tiers of quarterbacks leading into the 2015 fantasy football season.
