Ray will be making his first career start against the Braves. He’s looking to pick up his first win since July 7 in a game in which he pitched 7 2/3 innings against the Texas Rangers and gave up two runs, no earned runs and just four hits.

Since then, he’s gone 0-3 in five starts including two losses in his last two starts.

Teheran has struggled to find consistent success this season. He’s got an overall season ERA of 4.57 in 138 innings.

In his last five starts, he’s 2-2 with two straight losses followed immediately with two straight wins.

In his last start against the Miami Marlins, he left with a no decision after throwing 6 2/3 innings in which he gave up three runs on six hits.
