Corbin picked up a win in his last outing on August 15 against the Braves. In that game, Corbin went 6 2/3 innings and gave up no runs and only three hits. He also walked three and struck out eight.
He faced the Reds on August 9 and didn’t factor into the decision after six innings of work where he allowed three runs on seven hits.
If you’re wondering who this John Lamb is, you’re not alone. He made his Major League Debut on Friday in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Things were going as planned for Lamb, but the Dodgers dropped a four-spot in the bottom of the 5th inning and Lamb succumbed to a 5-3 loss to spoil his debut.
The 25-year-old youngster is from La Palma, California and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the fifth round of the 2008 draft as the 145th overall pick.
