The Cardinals suffered two major blows this week with guard Mike Iupati getting injured (will miss 6-8 weeks) and now starting nose tackle Corey Peters will miss the entirety of the 2015 season.
"Two of the Arizona Cardinals’ most significant offseason acquisitions are injured, one of them — starting nose tackle Corey Peters — is lost for the season.Peters tore his left ACL in practice on Wednesday.Starting left guard Mike Iupati will undergo surgery for a torn left meniscus. Iupati was hurt in Tuesday’s practice."
While these are both terrible loses, at least Iupati will only be out for the first four or five games of the regular season. Rookie Rodney Gunter will move into the starting NT position.
Arizona State football and Adidas released the jerseys the Sun Devils will wear when they take on the Texas A&M Aggies in Houston on September 5th.
Their “Desert Ice” uniforms are a tad similar to their “Desert Fuel” jerseys from their game last year against Notre Dame. Instead of last year having a darker color as the primary color of the jersey, this year the uniforms are white, hence the “Desert Ice” name.
"Last year, the Arizona State Sun Devils introduced us to their well-received “Desert Fuel” uniforms for their marquee matchup against Notre Dame. The Devils hope their new “Desert Ice” duds will bring them as much luck as the Desert Fuel unis did in their 55-31 stomping of the Irish. On Thursday, ASU and new apparel partner Adidas unveiled the uniforms to be worn for the Devils’ first game of the 2015 season, against Texas A&M in Houston on Sept. 5."
