The Arizona Diamondbacks dropped their series-opener against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday, 5-3. The Diamondbacks took an early lead in the game, but Yadier Molina lead his team on with 2 RBIs and got it going.
The Cardinals still remain the best in the league sitting at a record of 79-45 and are now on a two-game winning streak.
The last time the Cardinals and Diamondbacks faced off, it was in late May and the Cardinals completed a three-game sweep at home.
Although the Diamondbacks came up short Monday night, they look to bounce back and hopefully avoid another sweep.
