The PAC-12 South division is heralded as one of the best divisions in the nation entering college football season with five teams having a legitimate shot to win the division.

The past two PAC-12 South champions have been the Arizona Wildcats (2014) and the Arizona State Sun Devils (2013) with both of the Arizona teams losing to the PAC-12 North champion in the PAC-12 Championship Game. The PAC-12 North is 4-0 all-time in the PAC-12 Championship Game against the PAC-12 South after the PAC-10 was expanded to 12 teams in 2011.

Entering week one of the college football season the PAC-12 South has four teams ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll. USC is ranked 8th, UCLA is ranked 13th, Arizona State is ranked 15th, and Arizona is ranked 22nd. Among the teams receiving votes, but not ranking in the top-25, Utah is ranked 30th in the nation.

We will be updating the PAC-12 South power rankings with each passing week with a breakdown of how each of the programs performed in the week prior.
