Diamondbacks 1, Cardinals 3

Game three was a more competitive game between the two teams. Unfortunately, Arizona’s offense just couldn’t get the runs in. Arizona again scattered seven hits but only had one run to show for the effort. Paul Goldschmidt hit a titanic home run to get Arizona on the board but the lead wouldn’t last long. St. Louis tied the game at one in the fifth but Patrick Corbin held the score at one. As soon as Corbin exited the game, the tie was broken and David Hernandez surrendered two runs and that would all St. Louis needed.

Corbin pitched a great game and showed flashes of his pre-injury self. His stuff was dominating and he held the best team in MLB to just one run and three hits through six innings.
