A second year wide receiver out of West Alabama has had one of the most impressive training camps of any Raider.

Seth Roberts has impressed not only his teammates, but also his coaches. After being signed as an undrafted free agent, he was waived by the Raiders in August of last year before being put on the practice squad. Roberts is looking to make the 53-man roster this season, and needs to continue to prove himself. In the team’s last game against the Viking Roberts had one reception for 39 yards, and nearly had another deep pass, but Derek Carr’s pass fell just out of reach.

His coaches are taking notice, and the offensive coordinator stated that he is getting better everyday and that his small size does not inhibit him for throwing great blocks.

Roberts his currently behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree on the depth chart, but he will be a player to look for in this game. He will continue to develop over the next couple weeks, and the Raiders hope Roberts can be the future of their team.
