Saturday night will be the official opening game of the 2015 NCAA football season for the No. 15 Arizona State Sun Devils. Arizona State will kick off their season with a very tough SEC opponent in the Texas A&M Aggies, who rank just outside the AP top-25 preseason poll.
This will be Arizona State’s first major challenge in week one in recent memory. Week one opponents for the Sun Devils since 2008 have included: Northern Arizona, Idaho State, Portland State, UC Davis, Northern Arizona, Sacramento State, and Weber State.
Having to prepare yourself for a reasonable opponent must have been enough motivation for the Sun Devils this Summer and they are ready to show that on Saturday.
There is plenty of firepower on both sides of the ball for each of these teams. Let’s take a look at some of the key players to watch for this weekend.
