HW: Arizona State won the PAC-12 South in 2013 before the University of Arizona won the PAC-12 South last year. What are the chances of the PAC-12 South division crown returning to Tempe in 2015 (scale of 1-10)?

CS: If they want to win the south they have to beat USC. They as a team are so well rounded and could be a team for the four in the playoff. Utah is also a solid team and could sneak up there.

KA: Scale of 1-10, 10 being the best chance of winning the South, ASU has a 7.

The PAC-12 has become one of the best leagues in college football. So much talent has emerged from both the North and the South. In the South, every team, aside from Colorado, will be competing for the crown.

UCLA and USC will probably be ASU’s biggest competition. As long as the ASU defense lives up to the hype they produced this summer, they’ll be just fine.

The other thing is, the Sun Devils can’t be that team that loses to insignificant teams, like Cal Poly. Those games are, pretty much, automatic wins. The Sun Devils have been known to drop those type of games.

If they want to be champions, they can’t have any of that this season.

JM: I think that the chances are strong for the Sun Devils to win the Pac-12 South Division crown again this year. I must also mention just how tough it is going to be. There is no easy way to put it the PAC-12 is loaded this year. The benefit that the Sun Devils have is that they will be playing USC, Oregon, and the Arizona Wildcats in Tempe this year.

MH: If the Sun Devils stick to their game I give them an 8 on the 1-10 scale of taking the PAC-12 South in 2015. This team is special, but we will not know how special until they hit the field.

JF: I hope decimal points are acceptable for this answer because on a scale from 1 to 10, I give ASU a 0.75 chance of winning the Pac 12 South. I think the Sun Devils will be competing for fourth with Utah at year’s end. Both LA schools and the Wildcats will finish ahead of ASU.

EB: On a scale of 1-10 I’d say about a 7.5.
