Leake pitched well last week against the Dodgers. During his start on Wednesday, Leake gave up two runs on five hits in seven innings of work. The Giants ended up losing that game 2-1 and Leake was handed the loss.
He hasn’t won a game in his four appearances with the Giants since he was traded from the Cincinnati Reds on July 30. During that span though, he has posted a 3.16 ERA.
After a rough outing on August 20 in which he only last two innings, Corbin has turned things around in his last two starts.
He is a combined 1-0 in those two starts against the Cardinals and Rockies with a 2.19 ERA.
