The Arizona Diamondbacks dropped yet another series, this time against the San Diego Padres. This series wrapped up a nine-game home stand for the D-Backs and they would have liked to end it on a better note than they did.

Here’s how the series played out…

The D-Backs had no chance in this one as Jeremy Hellickson only lasted one inning and gave up five runs in that inning. Wil Myers and Cory Spangenberg led the way offensively for the Padres. Myers was 2-4 with a home run and four RBI and Spangenberg was also 2-4 but with a double and three RBI.

The D-Backs were unable to claw back in this one and lost the game 10-3.

A bright side for the D-Backs was that Paul Goldschmidt was able to pick up his 100th RBI of the season, which made him the first D-Backs player since Luis Gonzalez to have multiple 100 RBI seasons.
