The roller coaster that has been the Phoenix Suns season has come to their largest drop of the season as the Suns dropped their contest at home on Saturday to the 2-30 Philadelphia 76ers with a final score of 111-104.

Eric Bledsoe played just eight minutes in the game before heading to the locker room with a torn meniscus in his left knee. It was originally covered as a potential ACL tear, but after the game team doctors reported that they do not fear an ACL tear.

After trailing by 16 points early in the game, the Suns were able to cut the 76ers lead to just six points with 2:57 left at 106-100. The Suns were unable to come all the way back, however former-Sun Ish Smith made a lay-up with 1:36 left to push the lead back to eight points and put a dagger in the heart of the Suns.

The Philadelphia 76ers won their first road game of the season and just their second game on the year as a whole. It is currently the worst start to a team in NBA history.

Phoenix drops to 12-20 on the year, which is entirely disappointing after a potential NBA playoff appearance being the talk of the town over the Summer. In comparison to last season, the Suns hadn’t lost 20 games until January 25th.

The Suns loss tonight adds another loss to their losing streak, which now stands at four. The four losses are to the Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and the Philadelphia 76ers… all of which are teams with losing records.
