Pitcher: Zack Grienke

Grienke will be looked upon to be a workhorse for the Diamondbacks this season after Josh Collmenter was viewed upon as the “ace” of the pitching staff last season. Greinke made four starts in Spring Training and posted a 1.88 ERA over 14.1 innings. He went 19-3 with a 1.66 ERA for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season before jumping ship to the Diamondbacks.

Catcher: Wellington Castillo

Castillo came to the Diamondbacks last season in the Mark Trumbo trade with the Seattle Mariners. Castillo played tremendous baseball with the Diamondbacks in 2015 as he appeared in 80 games for Arizona as he hit 17 home runs and had 50 RBI. His slash line of .255/.317/.496 was a significant improvement over the numbers of Tuffy Gosewisch and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
