It was not the best start for Greinke in his Diamondbacks debut on Opening Day as he gave up seven runs in four innings against the Rockies. A report came out from Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal that Greinke was pitching with flu-like symptoms so that could have contributed to it a little, but the fact of the matter is that the Rockies hit him hard.

Do not expect his next start to be as bad, as Greinke is still a phenomenal starting pitcher. In eight career starts against the Cubs, Greinke is 4-2 with a 3.78 ERA. Granted, this Cubs team is a very talented team on offense, but Greinke will surely be determined to redeem his bad first start.

Hendricks had a decent 2015 season, finishing with an 8-7 record with a 3.95 ERA. But he shined in Spring Training this season as he posted a 2.73 ERA in seven games (six starts). In his only start against the Diamondbacks last season, Hendricks went five innings and only gave up one run. It’s a very short sample size for Hendricks, but he has shown a flash of being able to shut down a potent Arizona offense.
