Like Greinke, Miller didn’t have the best debut for the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night against the Rockies. Colorado tagged Miller for six runs over six innings, but the Diamondbacks were able to rally and win the game 11-6.

Miller also was not a recipient of much run support last year in Atlanta. He had a 6-17 record but only had a 3.02 ERA. Miller was leaving the ball up in the zone to the Rockies but he can’t do that against this Cubs lineup.

Arrieta was absolutely amazing last season. He had a record of 22-6 and a 1.77 ERA in 33 starts and took home the National League Cy Young Award. Arrieta also was able to throw a no-hitter against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The Diamondbacks are going to have their hands full with this guy, as he has turned into one of the best pitchers in the major leagues over the last couple of seasons.

He was dominant in his first start of 2016 as he threw seven shutout innings against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, which ended up being a 9-0 Cubs victory.

This is a big series for the Diamondbacks after not being able to win the series against the Rockies. With a 10-game road trip coming up against three division rivals, this is a series that Arizona needs to win or at least split. Some good news for Diamondbacks fans is that Paul Goldschmidt is a career .300 hitter against the Cubs’ starters for this series combined.
