Discussing when the 2016 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday for round one and where you can catch the action on television.

After a long wait, the NFL Draft is finally here. The first round of the NFL Draft will begin on Thursday night in Chicago, Illinois and the Arizona Cardinals will have the 29th overall pick. The New England Patriots are without a first round pick after being penalized the draft pick due to the “Deflategate” scandal.

Day one will be the first round, followed by rounds two and three on Friday, and rounds four, five, six, and seven on Saturday.

We will be live-tweeting the first round of the NFL Draft on our twitter account: @HeatWavedFS

Here is the information for where you can catch the entire NFL draft…

Thursday:

Start Time: 5:00 p.m.

TV Coverage: ESPN, WatchESPN, and NFL Network

Location: Chicago, IL

Friday:

Start Time: 4:00 p.m.

TV Coverage: ESPN, ESPN2 (beginning at 5:00 p.m.), WatchESPN, and NFL Network

Saturday:

Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

TV Coverage: ESPN, WatchESPN, and NFL Network

The Arizona Cardinals will likely look to bolster their secondary in the first round of the draft. Some guys that may hear their name called with the 29th overall pick include:

  • William Jackson (CB), Houston
  • Jeremy Cash (S), Duke
  • Xavien Howard (CB), Baylor
  • T.J. Green (FS), Clemson

Personally, I could see the Cardinals taking Green if all four are available when it is their turn to choose. Here’s an excerpt on Green from an article written on HeatWaved regarding draft targets for the Cardinals.

"Green is 6’2″, 209 pounds and runs a 4.34 40-yard dash. He plays a lot like Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs in which he is able to help out on run plays as well as play stellar man coverage. He’s extremely fast (as you can tell by his 40-yard dash time), but only started one season at Clemson so his lack of experience could be discerning."

Here are the Arizona Cardinals 2016 NFL Draft picks:

R1 P29, R3 P 92, R4 P128, R5 P167, R5 P170, R6 P205
