Grading the Phoenix Suns backcourt based off of their performance in the 2015-2016 NBA season.

The Phoenix Suns did not enjoy too much success in their past season, but there were some definite bright spots, especially from guys in their backcourt unit. With the season defined as a “lost cause” half-way through the year, the Suns began to help their young core of players develop by getting serious court-time night-in and night-out.

Outside of Ronnie Price, 32, the oldest Suns backcourt player is Eric Bledsoe, 26. Fellow backcourt members include Devin Booker, 19, Archie Goodwin, 21, Brandon Knight, 24, John Jenkins, 25, and Phil Pressey, 25. With such a young group of players, it will be important for Head Coach Earl Watson to spread out minutes at the correct allotment in order to continue to develop each player to help them reach the best of their abilities, while also winning basketball games.

Injuries got the best of the two top backcourt members in Bledsoe and Knight. Bledsoe played only 31 games, while Knight played in 52. The injuries allowed players like Booker and Goodwin extra minutes and allowed them to develop at an exciting rate. We will take a look at this key four guards and grade them based off of their performance from this past year…
