Bledsoe only played 31 games this past season due to a season-ending knee injury, but he made his presence felt in his shortened season. He was leading the Suns with 20.4 points per game when he went down with the injury, while playing 34.2 minutes per game. On top of leading the team in scoring, he also was leading the team with 6.1 assists per game and leading the team with 2.03 steals per game. Bledsoe would finish the year with the highest PER on the team with a 20.1 mark.

Last season was year one of his four-year contract with the Phoenix Suns. He will be set to make just over $14 million next year, $14.9 million in two years, and $15.8 in his final year of his contract. The impact that Bledsoe has on this team is well worth the contract that he holds. Also, if the Suns decide that the backcourt is too loaded and there are not enough minutes to go around, Bledsoe will always hold solid trade value due to his ability to lead an organization.
