Suns Report Cards: Frontcourt Grades
Tyson Chandler
The Suns signing of Chandler was mostly just to help attract Aldridge to come to the desert, but when Aldridge chose to sign with San Antonio instead, Chandler then became a seasoned veteran to help lead the young core players on the Suns roster. He mostly became a mentor to Len and to Devin Booker.
Chandler missed 16 games this season, but started in 60 of his 66 games and even had a game against the Atlanta Hawks in January where he finished with 13 points and 27 rebounds. Unsurprisingly, Chandler led the Suns in rebounding on the season with an average of 8.7 per game, while also putting up 7.2 points in 24.5 minutes. Essentially, Chandler did all he was asked to accomplish in his first year of a four-year contract in a Suns uniform.
