The Phoenix Suns were edged, 112-111, by the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night. They will now travel to Denver to play the Nuggets on Thursday.

As the clock expired, Andrew Wiggins put up a shot with his Minnesota Timberwolves (17-28) down just one point to the Phoenix Suns.

The ball went in, Wiggins got the shot off in time, and the Timberwolves beat the Suns, 112-111. It snapped the Suns’ two-game winning-streak, while Minnesota made improved their streak to three games.

The Suns faced a deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but quickly climbed back and made it a game. No surprise there, since it’s basically what they do every single game. No matter the opponent, no matter the arena, no matter the score. The Suns will find a way to chip away at a lead and make it a game.

But ultimately, the Comeback Kids fell short of a win again. Despite some heroics from Eric Bledsoe, and two big free throws P.J. Tucker, the Suns couldn’t slow down Andrew Wiggins and the Timberwolves.

Wiggins finished with 31 points, including the dagger that ultimately gave his T-Wolves their 17th win of the season.

Devin Booker lead the charge for the Suns with a 26-point effort, while Tyson Chandler was again brilliant for Earl Watson. The 34-year old big man finished with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

In their three meetings this season, Minnesota has the edge over Phoenix as they’ve won every time. It was a clean season-sweep for the T-Wolves over the Suns, which causes you to scratch your head if you’re a Suns fan. Three straight losses against one of the weaker teams in the Western Conference.

It was the third-straight dub for Tim Thibodeau and his Timberwolves. Their last three wins have all been decided by less than three points. It’s only fitting that it took a shot at the last second to give them another victory against the Suns.
