Former C Chris Snyder Looked Ready For Playoff Run

Chris Snyder is nowhere near a household name but he made his presence felt in the alumni game Saturday night. More impressively, he looked like he could’ve hung out a little bit longer and competed with the current Arizona Diamondbacks’ club.

During the game, Snyder drove in the only run for ‘Team Red’ which turned out to be the only run of the exhibition. In the bottom of the first inning, he laced a single to center field to drive in Augie Ojeda. Later on, he added another hit in his only other at-bat to finish the game 2-for-2.

Over the course of his 10-year MLB career, Chris Snyder came up with Arizona and spent the better part of his time there. In a little more than six years, he played 556 games with the D-Backs, notching 379 hits and 62 home runs.

He last played in the big leagues with the Baltimore Orioles in 2013.

In an event where most guys are way out of shape, Snyder was definitely the one guy who stuck out as in shape.
