Defensive End Cap Capi is Effective

While he’s been well-traveled with several jersey number changes in his short NFL career, defensive end Cap Capi looked like the best player on the field in the Cardinals’ first preseason game.

Capi, who has been cut eight different times in his career (once by the Cardinals), recorded three sacks and a forced fumble in the second half of the game. Yes, it wasn’t against the Chargers’ top-tier offensive linemen, but he was literally blowing past the left tackle more often than not.

It was clear to everyone watching that Capi dominated, garnering a bunch of love on Twitter.

In his past three preseasons, Capi registered six sacks, yet in the regular season he’s only played in eight games (one sack). It’s unclear if he’ll make the 53-man roster but in my mind, as well the majority of Cardinals’ Twitter, he should. Now wearing No.61 on his jersey, he proved to me tonight just how dynamic he can be.
