(#4) September 8th at Houston Cougars

This game will be the ‘Cats second game on their 2018 schedule. And because both teams are in the spotlight this year, with Sports Illustrated featuring both programs on their regional covers this year (Arizona here; Houston here), this will be must-watch television. ABC and ESPN2 will air the game nationally, with streaming options on ESPN+ and the WatchESPN app.

Last season, you’ll remember, the ‘Cats dropped their game against Houston 19-16 at home. Khalil Tate, however, wasn’t the starter in that game. That’ll make a ton of difference. Like with the Ducks, it’s revenge time.

(#3) September 1st vs. BYU

This one is doesn’t need a lot of explaining. September 1st against BYU will be the Kevin Sumlin’s debut game and Khalil Tate’s debut as the unquestioned starter going into a game. Above all, though, it’s the first time we’ll get to see the Wildcats play a real, live football game since their three-game losing streak to finish the 2017 season.

Everyone who rides for Arizona’s football program has already put the team’s disappointing 2016 season behind them. While I don’t mean to open old wounds, the ‘Cats last meeting with BYU was the season opener of 2016 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Unfortunately, the game foreshadowed the rest of the year as Arizona was shutout in the first half and wound up losing 18-16. Again, no Khalil Tate, so this year will be much different.

ESPN will broadcast the game nationally.
