Byron Leftwich, Quarterbacks Coach

NFL Games: 60

Probably the most recognizable name on Arizona’s staff, Byron Leftwich was the No. 7 pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by Jacksonville.

Leftwich started 50 games at quarterback, primarily with the Jaguars. He turned in a 24-26 record as a starter with 58 career touchdown passes and 42 interceptions. As a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he won a Super Bowl ring as the back-up to Ben Roethlisberger in 2008.

He joined the Cardinals’ staff in 2017 as quarterbacks coach and was retained when Wilks came on board.

Steve Heiden, Assistant Offensive Line Coach

NFL Games: 148

Steve Heiden is a guy who played a long time in the NFL, most notably with the Cleveland Browns. A third-round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft, Heiden spent three seasons with the Chargers before becoming a regular on the Browns’ first-team offense. From 2002-2009, he caught 187 passes with 12 touchdowns.

Heiden joined Arizona’s staff in 2013 as the assistant special teams and tight ends coach. When Wilks came to town, not only did he retain Heiden but he promoted him to his current position.
