Looking into the future betting odds (among others) for the upcoming Phoenix Suns’ season.

Whether you believe it or not, the Phoenix Suns are ready to actually compete this year. Will they be a playoff team? I doubt it, but owner Robert Sarver has high hopes, telling 98.7 FM Arizona Sports that “the switch has flipped.”

More from Heat Waved

For starters, it’s nice to know that they’re through with the dreaded T-word. According to Sarver’s interview, they’ll make a legit effort this year to climb the Western Conference standings. They’ve made changes at the top (for better or worse) and now, per the owner, the Suns will start “figuring out how to win.”

With all that said, opening night is less than a week away and 2018-19 is one of the most anticipated Suns’ season I can remember. So whether you need to snag your Deandre Ayton jersey or invest a few bucks in their future, the clock is ticking. Here, we’re going to help you with the latter by giving you the full Phoenix Suns’ betting primer for 2018-19.

Team Bets

Odds to Win the 2019 NBA Championship

  • Phoenix Suns (+40,000)

Obviously, this is a long shot but a $10 bet on Phoenix will bring home a whopping $4,000. It should be noted that, per Vegas, Phoenix is more likely to win the title than five other NBA teams (Cleveland, Brooklyn, Orlando, Memphis, and Sacramento).

Odds to Win the Pacific Division

  • Phoenix Suns (+15,000)

With Golden State and LeBron in the Pacific Division, I don’t see this happening. Still, though, $10 would bring home $1,500.

Odds to Win the Western Conference

  • Phoenix Suns (+17,500)

Again, probably not happening but $10 wins $1,750.

Odds to Make Playoffs

  • Make (+900)
  • Miss (-1800)

This is one to consider, if for nothing else than just being a good fan. I’ll tell you what, it’d feel awfully good getting a double-win if the Suns actually do snag the No. 8 seed.

Total Wins

  • Over 29.5 (+125)
  • Under 29.5 (-155)

Here’s a play I can get behind. Think about it, it’s not crazy to think the Suns could win 30 games — especially if they’re trying.

Player Bets

Odds to Win NBA MVP

With the injury, probably not happening but at least he’s considered.

Odds to Win NBA Rookie of the Year

The odds are great, for starters, and it’s totally possible this happens.

According to OddsShark’s Gilles Gallant, the over 29.5 is Phoenix’s best bet. In my opinion, he’s right but that Ayton ROY play is awfully nice, too.
