Arizona State Football: Where N’Keal Harry Lands in Latest NFL Mock Drafts
A deep dive into the latest NFL Mock Drafts to see where Arizona State football star N’Keal Harry lands.
While the Arizona State football team is below .500 through seven games, they’re still a talented squad that can beat anyone under the right circumstances. This weekend, they’ll head to the Coliseum in Los Angeles to play USC in hopes of evening out their record to 4-4. One guy who needs to step up in order to win is superstar wide receiver N’Keal Harry. As of late, he’s underperformed a bit, reaching the endzone just once in Arizona State’s last four games.
Harry, now a junior, was a preseason All-American prior to the 2018 season, along with spots on numerous other award watch lists. The folks who follow the NFL Draft also had high praise for Harry. Before the season, you’d be hard-pressed to find a mock draft without N’Keal Harry going in the first round.

So what has changed from then until now? Well, since the losses are mounting and he hasn’t gone over 100 yards since Week 1, things have changed a lot in some places. Others, however, still have N’Keal Harry as first-round material.
CBS Sports, who publishes one of the most respected NFL Mock Drafts out there, doesn’t have N’Keal Harry in their latest round of projections. It’s surprising, honestly, especially since they had Harry in the No. 9 draft position (to Buffalo) at the beginning of October. Now, though, CBS Sports still has Buffalo taking a wide receiver in the first round but it’s not our guy. Instead, the Bills are slotted to select Kelvin Harmon from NC State at No. 6. After Harmon, two other receivers come off the board not named N’Keal Harry — J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (Stanford) and A.J. Brown (Ole Miss).
Luckily, other publications haven’t given up on the big-bodied wideout.
Pro Football Weekly just published the first version of their 2019 NFL Mock Draft and it featured Harry going to the Washington Redskins at No. 26. It should be noted that he was one of two wide receivers featured, with Arcega-Whiteside going slightly ahead of him at No. 20 to the Baltimore Ravens.
In addition to PFW, FanSided’s Brad Weiss also has N’Keal Harry as a first-round pick in his latest 2019 NFL Mock Draft. Oakland, with Amari Cooper now in Dallas, is projected to take Harry at No. 15. One receiver was ahead of him, A.J. Brown to the New York Jets at No. 12, while one was behind him at No. 26 (Deebo Samuel from South Carolina).
As you can see, no one is really on the same page with these projections and that’s totally cool. It’s still early and a lot can change in the coming months. With that said, let’s hope Harry finishes strong and solidifies himself in all future mock drafts.
