After the 2012 season, it looked like Miley was going to be the ace for the Diamondbacks for years to come. He went 16-11 that season with a 3.33 ERA and showed excellent control, walking just 1.7 hitters per nine innings. Then, he totally regressed (and no, I don’t think it was the shaggy beard).

In 2013, Miley walked 2.9 hitters per nine innings and went 10-10 with a 3.55 ERA. He also served up 21 home runs, seven more than the previous year. On top of that, his 13 wild pitches didn’t make him Miguel Montero‘s favorite player. Let’s hope the goes back to form instead of continuing the regression.
