2. San Francisco 49ers – The 49ers have been known for their defense for multiple years now. They have answered every challenged and made most offenses they have gone against have nightmares. It has been a collection of players for the defense that has got the job done. The only thing is, linebacker Aldon Smith is suspended for the first 9 games of the season and, another linebackers, Navarro Bowman, is still recovering from his severe knee injury back in the playoffs last season. They always have guys they can fill in so I would not jump off the 49ers bandwagon just yet.

1. Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks’ defense is a major reason why they won the Super Bowl last season (Actually a huge reason). All you need to know is LOB. For those of you who may not know what that means, LOB – Legion of Boom. Their entire defense is relentless and will frustrate any offense they go against. They signed all of their big-time players to extensions this offseason so we can expect this group to be around for quite some time.
