Final: Arizona Wildcats 35 Nevada Wolfpack 28

Arizona Wildcats returned home to face off against the Nevada Wolfpack in Week Three of the college football season.

The season, thus far, has been a rollercoaster for the Wildcats they returned to their conference at home looking to improve to 3-0. For the preview of this game, click here.

The Wolfpack entered the game 2-0 as well and set out to beat the Arizona Wildcats. They took an early field goal upping the score to  3 -0 and taking the lead, but Nick Wilson would answer the call.

Wilson had a huge first half for the Arizona Wildcats which included 11 carries for 71 yds and 2 TD. Anu Solomon was near perfect in the first half, completing 13 of his 14 attempts. However, he did throw his first career interception in the first half. After a 35 yd TD pass to Tyrell Johnson gave the Arizona Wildcats a 21-6 lead with two minutes left in the first half.

Nevada ran flawless two-minute drill and Cody Fajardo threw a seven yard strike to Jarred Gipson. Fajardo’s pass to Gipson cut into the Wildcats lead sending the WC into halftime up 21-13.

In the first half Wolfpack dominated possession battle 21 of the 30 first half minutes. The Wildcats would go on to win the game 35-28.

Solomon ended up with 278 total yards and completed 22/26 pass attempts. Nick Wilson finished with 171 total yards and 29 carries. See below for the scoring recap.
