More from Arizona Wildcats

Both teams enter the game with a perfect 4-0 record.  For the Arizona Wildcats, getting a win here will elevate the elevate the wildcats record in the PAC-12 South to 2-0 tieing them for first atop the division.  A win would also add a lot of intrigue to next weeks match-up with USC.

The Arizona Wildcats were an unknown factor in the PAC 12 before the season began.  But with the rise of freshman quarterback Anu Solomon, the Wildcats have a high-octane offense capable of scoring on anyone.

Arizona has been able to fly under the radar this season and able to avoid feeling the pressure of a contending team.  For his part, head coach Rich Rodriguez attempted to keep the pressure of this game on the shoulder of the Ducks Marcus Mariota by calling him a Heisman front-runner.

"“I think Mariota’s the Heisman front-runner in my opinion,” Rodriguez said after practice Sunday night. “Unless health-wise or something else happens, which you don’t wish on any player, he’s without question one of the top three football players in the country, and was last year.”"

Rich Rods comments may have also been designed to challenge his defense who will have their hands full trying to stop the Ducks offense.  If Arizona can play any kind of defense they have to offensive tools to carve out a win on the road.  If they can’t this game has the potential to get ugly for the Cats.
