Arizona State Sun Devils V USC Trojans Preview, Start Time, TV

When you play in a Power 5 conference every game is a big game. This week is no exception for the Arizona State Sun Devils as they take on another ranked opponent this week. After a bow-out loss to UCLA that resulted in a drop out of the top 25, the sun Devils look for redemption against the Trojans.

The Trojans have had some ups and downs themselves this season. After beating Stanford on the road, USC suffered a let-down upset loss at Boston College. But they returned to form last week and look to keep pace with cross town rival UCLA in the PAC 12 South race.

This is a must win game for the Sun Devils. A win would keep Sparky within striking distance in the PAC 12 south. A loss would bury them two games back in the standings, most likely relegating them to the role of spoiler for the rest of the season.

Other than keeping pace in the tough PAC 12 South the Trojans will have a little extra motivation against the Sun Devils. The USC players have revenge on their minds after last years 62-41 blow-out at Sun Devils Stadium. That loss has been burned in the minds of the Trojans defense ever since.

"“We’re not going to let that happen again,” said Su’a Cravens, who has been moved from safety to linebacker for the second consecutive game.”We should never give up 60 points.”"

Head coach Steve Sarkisian believes the loss has sharpened his players focus in practice.

"“Nobody likes giving up 62 points — at any level,” Sarkisian said. “So, hopefully, that affects our pride and it affects our preparation. And the fact that it shouldn’t happen again.”"

This game is not only a must win for Arizona State but a must watch for college football fans.
