By Tony Fischer
After the crazy last second win 46 yard hail mary touchdown pass to beat the USC Trojans on October 2nd the Arizona State Sun Devils deserved a break. They got one in the form of a bye week and spent the extra time preparing for this Saturday’s match-up with Stanford.

It was thought that the preparation would include starting quarterback Taylor Kelly who injured his foot in the Colorado game. But Kelly’s recovery has been slowed and with the emergence of Mike Bercovici there is no reason to rush him back.
Head coach Tood Graham has to be impressed with Mike Bercovici’s leadership in the win over USC but he refused to place either of his quarterbacks above the other. Instead he sees them as having the same ability to guide Arizona State’s explosive offense.
"Taylor’s got a lot of years of experience winning football games and being able to move the down markers in very different ways, whether it be with his legs, whether it be with the run, (or) whether it be making great decisions. I think Berc’s just a great extension of him. He obviously brings a lot to it from a standpoint of his ability in the rhythm passing game. They complement each other very well.”"
Stanford represents the tougest defnesive team the Sun Devils have faced this season. Mike Bercovici will have to survive the assault from Stanford defensive front while taking care of the football. Doing so could help keep the Arizona State Sun Devil’s in the running PAC 12 South race.
