The Phoenix Suns opened the season last night with a 119-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. It was an easy victory considering the state of the Lakers this year.

That said the victory served as a very important statement to the rest of the NBA Western Conference: The Phoenix Suns are ready to take the next step.
