Arizona Wildcats claw Into The College Football Playoff Top 15
By Gabe Encinas
It’s Tuesday, which means the College Football Playoff committee has gathered to release their latest College Football Poll. This week, the Arizona Wildcats climb quite a few spots, going from #19 to #14. It’s quite impressive, considering Arizona comes off a win against Colorado, who has yet to win a Pac-12 game this season.
The Cats jump over Nebraska and land just in front of Notre Dame, LSU, Oklahoma and Utah, who are all coming off of losses. Now depending on who you ask, the College Football Playoff poll is fairly irrelevant at this point. But nonetheless, it’s what brings excitement to college football and gives us stuff to talk about week in and week out.

Arizona State rose to #6 in the rankings after knocking off Notre Dame setting up a showdown between the Wildcats and Sun Devils on the last week of the season. If the Arizona Wildcats keep winning that could make for an epic chapter of the in-state rivalry.
The Arizona Wildcats hope to continue to climb the rankings, as the Washington Huskies come to Tucson this weekend. This is a game that Arizona Wildcats are now expected to win. Not because Washington is average but because Arizona has now risen to a level of higher expectations. The Huskies struggle on offense and after dismissing their top cornerback and don’t have much going for them right now. Even though they have lost three of their last four games , Washington is still very capable of pulling off an upset depending on which Arizona Wildcats team decides to show up.
So until then, we twiddle our thumbs and wait.
