Duke also keeps defenses guessing by rarely having the same running back in the game for consecutive plays. Their running back by committee platoon consists of Shaun Wilson, Shaquille Powell and Josh Snead.
Wilson is the leader of the committee as he racked up a team-high 590 rushing yards and just like Boone, found the end zone five times. Powell carried the ball the most this season, finishing with 105 carries and 501 yards. Snead finished with the least carries and yards of the trio as he only had 79 carries and 399 yards, but he also scored five times.
This committee would be a fantasy football disaster (see: Carolina Panthers 2011-2014), but the backfield unit as a whole rushed for a whopping 2,199 yards this season.
