Phoenix Suns Have A Big Challenge When They Face The Wizards

The Suns will face the Wizards on Sunday at 4 PM and this is a big game for the Suns to prove that they can compete with the big boys.

After losing six straight, Phoenix has won two-in-a-row against the Hornets and the Knicks. The Wizards, on the other hand, have been taking care of business this season, winning nine of their last 10 and are 18-6. The Suns need to do a lot of game planning to win this game.

Here are some plans they should do.

Shut Down John Wall

Obviously easier said than done but if the Suns want to win this game, they need to keep Wall from playing the way he has been playing throughout this season. Wall has put up about 18 points, 10 assist and two steals a game on average, making this year look like a career year for the 24-year-old former Kentucky player.

If the Phoenix Suns want to win, they need the future all-star down.

Spread The Ball Around

Suns are 18th in the league with 20.9 assist per game. That number is decent but too low for a team that has three starting point guards on their team.

Phoenix needs to get that number higher and they need to spread the wealth and help get other players open and get them easy shots. I don’t want them to just pass because I know Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas can be deadly shooter, I just want them to pass the rock around.

Play A Full Game

This is the biggest thing I want from the Suns. They need to play great basketball all four quarters, not just the first three quarter and not in the last one, not just in the end and play terrible in the beginning. If they want to compete with the big boys in the West, they need to play complete games and not just slack off.

I personally think the Wizards are going to win but I think the Suns will give them trouble. They certainly won’t go down without a fight.
