4. Lakers Move Shaq to the Heat

In the offseason following the 2003-2004 season the Miami Heat acquired Shaquille “The Big Diesel” O’Neal and in exchange sent Caron Butler, Brian Grant, and Lamar Odom to the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams would experience success in the near future due to this deal with the Heat winning the 2006 championship over the Dallas Mavericks with O’Neal and Dwyane Wade leading the charge. The Lakers followed suit by winning the 2009 and 2010 championships with Odom as a key contributor to the cause.
