Jaelen Strong no longer has to wait to find out what NFL team he will be playing for come next season.

Early on in the third round, the ASU receiver was selected by the Houston Texans with the sixth pick of the round, 70th overall. Strong was the 10th receiver taken off the board and the second one coming out of the Pac-12.

More from Arizona State Sun Devils

After he announced his intentions to skip his senior season at Tempe and go into the draft, Strong was picked to go in the first round of pretty much every mock draft. Over the last couple of weeks though, Strong’s stock has dropped a bit.

That’s probably thanks in large part to Strong’s wrist injury which he suffered towards the end of the season. There was a report that the injury was going to require him to have surgery, but the Sun Devil took to his Twitter account to tell everyone that he didn’t need it.

Despite having a small fracture in his wrist for five games, Strong played through it and managed to finish his season off strong. At the end of the year, the 6-foot-3, 212-pounder had 82 catches for 1,165 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Whatever the reason for Strong falling was, he’s going to a pretty good situation with the Texans.

After winning just two games in 2013, Houston turned things around big time in 2014 under new head coach Bill O’Brien. The Texans improved to win nine games and just barely missed out on a playoff spot in the AFC.

With Andre Johnson now with the Indianapolis Colts, Strong has a chance to come in and have a big role in Houston’s offense during his rookie season. Free agent signing Cecil Shorts and DeAndre Hopkins are slated to be Houston’s starters at receiver, but Strong is talented enough to earn playing time immediately.

Here’s to Strong having a nice NFL career and making ASU fans proud.
