  1. Charlotte Hornets – Stanley Johnson, Arizona SF

Boy oh boy does the NCAA tournament know how to raise and kill players draft stock. For a guy like Frank Kaminsky, his draft stock rose from late first round pick, to being in the lottery. But for Arizona’s swingman Stanley Johnson, it went the opposite way.

At the beginning of the year Johnson was thought of as a top 3 pick, and now he is barely squeezing into the top 10. It’s not a secret that the Hornets are not as happy as they should be with Lance Stephenson, who did not have a great year after signing with Charlotte in the off-season. If the Hornets want to start fielding replacements, they should start with Stanley Johnson.

Johnson does have a great upside, according to Draft Express’s measurement records, Johnson come in at 6’7 and weighing 242 lbs., perfect size for a small forward or a shooting guard. Johnson is a very good perimeter defender and has the potential to be an elite defender but he has to show that mentally he can stay in the game for all 48 minutes. If he does that he’ll have a very successful career.
