Ray is 3-5 this season with a 2.75 ERA. He’s picked up 2 wins and 4 losses in his last seven games. In his last start on July 22 against the Miami Marlins, Ray was handed a loss after going only 4.2 innings and allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits.
During his first year in the majors, Montgomery owns a 4-4 record with a 3.25 ERA. He made his MLB debut back on June 2. The 26-year-old left-hander was drafted in 2008 by the Kansas City Royals in the first round as the 36th overall pick.
