In his second start of the season, Godley turned in another quality outing against the Seattle Mariners. It wasn’t as stellar of a performance as his major league debut was, but it was good enough to get the D-Backs the victory. Against Seattle, Godley pitched six innings, gave up three runs on seven hits, walked three and struck out four. Godley has been impressive so far in his two starts; let’s hope his success continues against a very good Nationals lineup.

Fister is coming off of a win against the Miami Marlins. Fister pitched six innings, gave up two runs on four hits, walked one and struck out four. This was Fister’s first recorded win in a little over a month as his last win came on June 25th against the Atlanta Braves. In fact, prior to the win against Miami, the Nationals had lost in the last five games Fister has started. Overall, Fister has been disappointing this season, as he is sporting a 4-6 record with a 4.39 ERA.
