Diamondbacks lose three of four to Cubs

Sunday 4/10
It wouldn’t get any easier for the Diamondbacks as they had to go up against 2015 N.L. Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta, looking for a series split. Shelby Miller was also looking to bounce back from a sub-par performance in his team debut.
Miller seemed to be doing fine before he gave up a home run to Arrieta in the second inning, which came with two outs. The Diamondbacks came back to tie the game off of Arrieta with the help of two home runs by Paul Goldschmidt and Socrates Brito, but the Cubs scored two more runs off of Miller and could never recapture the lead.
This game was just a case of Miller not being to find those shutdown innings that he needed after his team tied the game up. The Cubs also scored two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth, which secured a 7-3 Chicago victory.

Again, this was a big series to lose for Arizona as they head on their big road trip to Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco. The starting pitching must improve if the Diamondbacks want to improve what has been a 2-5 start to the 2016 season.
