No. 3 Pick: Richard Duflo

Q. Why did you choose Jamaal Charles with the third overall pick?

A. I know that Charles is getting older, but that hasn’t seemed to slow him down. Splitting time with Knile Davis last season did cut into his fantasy production a bit. According to Charles, his targets and carries were cut back due to a series of injuries he had to deal with all season long. Despite the injury issues, he still performed at a high level. So, now, he’s fully healed up and the Chiefs added to their offensive line, which should provide more protection for Charles. Everything is looking up and to me, he stands out as a top pick.

Q. Do you believe that Peyton Manning will still perform at a high-level despite “experts” predicting him to have a down year?

A. Yeah, I think Manning will still be able to perform at a high level. I mean, it is Peyton Manning after all. It seems like ever since his neck injury, the experts have predicted him to decline. He is getting older, but there haven’t been any significant signs of decline. I’m more than willing to take my chances with him this season.

Q. What grade would you give your draft and why?

A. Rating my self, I’d have to give my team a C. I’ve got some solid players, Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles, Julio Jones, and Jeremy Maclin to name a few, but my bench is lacking. My other issue is gonna be bye weeks. Weeks nine and 11 will be rough. I’m just gonna have to pay close attention to free agency throughout the season.
